About Documentary

Underdogs documentary follows an independent wrestling organization out of NJ, showing why they do what they do and the blood, sweat and tears they put in.

The road to MegaSlam will be no easy task for the athletes that decide to take the journey. For the members of the Superstars of Wrestling Federation that have accepted this task, we explore their real life struggles and dreams as a modern day wrestler in one of the largest independent organizations of sports entertainment on the east coast and the sacrifice needed to make it inside and outside the ring. In this documentary we pull back the curtain on what life is like being the underdogs in the ring of sports entertainment.

Wresting can be dated back over 15,000 years ago and today in both of its forms (sport entertainment and competitive) it is still very much a staple in modern society. Wrestling earns millions of dollars in revenue every year in the form of sport entertainment through organizations like World Wrestling Entertainment, and in its competitive nature it is well respected as a main Olympic event. In this documentary, we will look at sport entertainment and explore the many misconceptions about the athlete that commits to that path. We will follow some of these athletes as they pursue their desire to make it to Megaslam, the cumulative event for the Superstars of Wrestling Federation.  We explore their real life struggles and dreams as modern day wrestlers in one of the largest independent organizations of sports entertainment on the east coast and the sacrifice needed to make it inside and outside the ring.
